Community School co-captain Cassidy Doucette had a career game against Declo Friday night.

The Community School (3-2) blanked league foe Declo 6-0 with five of the goals coming from the senior striker.

?Cassidy really stepped up to the plate,? coach Kelly Feldman said. ?Her role on the team is to be the top goal scorer and she did it.?

Fellow forward Sara Berman cracked a solo goal. Keeper Oey Parker notched her second shutout of the season, getting a lot of help and hustle from fulback Katie Rothgeb, sweeper Caitlin Enright and defensive halfback Devon Parnes.

?Devon had a fabulous game and Caitlin and Katie did a good job.

?As a whole I think we played well as a team. It was the first time we were in one piece and the girls really put together what we have been working on in practice,? Feldman said.

The Cutthroats should get another boost when senior co-captain Lexie Pragasstis returns next week. Pragasstis underwent knee surgery two weeks ago.

Monday at Wendell, Doucette dished out three assists and scored a goal in Sun Valley?s 5-1 victory over the Trojans. Sara Berman scored twice. Chloe Lynn and Cody Curran also found the back of the net. Curran converted a corner kick by Krista Detwiler.

The Community School (3-0 league) will host Buhl on Monday, Sept. 20.
