Cutthroats bag first win of the season

The Community School volleyball team cracked the win column in league action at Bliss Wednesday.

In a hard fought match, the Cut-throats (1-2) outlasted the Bears 25-22, 30-28, 18-25, 25-22 to notch their first win of the season.

?It was good for us,? coach Reamy Goodwin remarked. ?The girls worked hard and they are pro-gressing.?

In Northside Conference action at Richfield Tuesday, the Tigers downed the Cutthroats in three: 25-14, 25-16, 25-14.

?We played three solid games. The team fought and kept us in it. We made some good plays and got some balls on the floor,? Goodwin said.

Sun Valley?s home opener is Tuesday, Sept. 7 at the Fish Tank. Camas County is on hand for a league tilt starting at 6 p.m.
