Blue Root Editing, a new editing service, launches its service for writers and aspiring authors today The Ketchum-based company offers a wide range of editing services. Services include precision copy editing, substantive editing and developmental editing.

With their motto, ?Your writing deserves attention,? the editing service caters to all levels of writers. The company hopes to work with a range of authors from those who would like to polish their manuscripts before submitting the copy to literary agents, to non-published writers looking to cultivate their writ-ing.

For the past six years Blue Root editors Christopher and Elizabeth Day edited for Ketchum-based DayBue publishing. The publishing house recently closed its doors.

?Elizabeth and I wanted to continue with our editing service because we were really excited about the service we offered,? Christopher Day said. ?We had a good response with the authors and we wanted to keep doing it.?

In 2001, the Northwest Association of Book Publishers Awards Competition nominated Daybue?s ?Church of the Dog? by Kaya McLaren and ?Moonlight on the Ganga? by Claire Krulikowski as finalists in the Best Editing category.

The company?s Web site bluerootediting.com offers more information about the company?s services.
