Sun Summit Junior team members competed last weekend in the Park City Cycling Festival in Utah.

Chase Caulkins finished 15th (time trial), 15th (road race) and 24th (criterium) in the Junior 10-12 age class. Jimmy Hague, pedaling in the Junior 13-14 class, had finishes of 27-25-24 in the TT, RR and criterium. In the same division, Maxwell Durtschi was 29 in criterium, 30 in TT and 31 in RR. Mikey Matteson also competed in the 15-16 year old time trial. Matteson?s chain came off during the race and he finished 63.

?He would have finished a lot higher if that had not happened,? coach Greg Stock said. ?He lost a minute or two.?

Stock added, ?I thought they did very well. Some of them have only been riding a couple months and to finish in the middle of the pack at nationals is pretty amazing. It was a great performance.?

The team will compete in the Idaho State Cycling Championships in Boise this weekend.
