Ron Fields and Tom Muth rope title at The Valley Club Round Up

Some men in the Valley had some serious family time to catch up on Sunday – or at the very least some couch action.

That is because The Valley Club’s annual member guest tournament, the 2004 "Round-Up" attracted almost 150 players. The three-day tournament consisted of round-robin match play, in which 144 players on 72 teams participated Thursday through Saturday.

Local Ron Fields and Tom Muth were the grand champions. Second place went to Bill Pierpoint and Alan Kessler.

Flight champions were comprised of the following teams: Gary McLean and Mike Finnell, Ken Ward and Rick Ward, Bob Dunn and Steve Bellotti, Rod LeMense and Dick Merrill, Steve Miner and Will Terry, Dale Johnson and Pat Kearney, Todd Peebler and Tom Ward, Will Van Ert and Steve Kaufman, Chris Stephens and Ken Herich, George Kirk and Robert Harkness, Jay Cassell and David Brown, David Pyles and Charlie Capute.
