Wood River Cup finishes its ride
Mountain bike racing
It was a great inaugural run for the 2004
Wood River Cup short-track mountain bike racing series—five events staged behind
the BMX track 3.5 miles west of Hailey, out Croy Creek.

Organizer Sam Cochran of Pete Lane’s
Mountain Sports said, "We had a total of 76 racers, many racing all five events.
Our youngest racer was five and oldest over 60.
"The series was so successful that we are
contemplating a race in October combined with an Oktoberfest party."
Saturday’s state championships ended the
series. Overall class winners for the season were Moses Mexia, Dusty LaBarr,
Georgia Gould, Chris Preucil, Nicole Wheeler, Sam Rogers, Haley Montgomery,
Eliah Pfau, Peyton McCune, Clyde Montgomery, Luma Randolph, Rolf Hebenstreit,
Hilary Patzer, Scott Frans, Carmen Alvarado, Corey Bellinger and Jesse White.
