RESULTS

Hailey Hotel 17, Red Elephant 11
Red Elephant looked like it might pick up its first W of the season. The E led 11-8 heading into the seventh inning. But Hailey Hotel broke out its bats, and batted around the order (and then some), scoring nine runs on nine hits to put the game out of reach. Hailey Hotel (23 hits): Terry Hodges 4 hits (2B), 3 runs. Steve 4 singles, 1 run. Karen McNary 2 hits (2B), 2 runs. Katrina Kolman 2 hits (2B), 1 run. Red Elephant (13 hits): Nicola Brashears 3 hits (2 doubles), 1 run. Max Bailey 2 hits (double), 3 runs. Mark Parker 2 HR.

Wicked Spud/Bradley 7, Marketron Mudhens 6
Marketron almost pulled off a big upset, when Travis Cooley jacked a homerun in the seventh to pull the Mudhens within one. The Spud clamped down and nabbed the third out on a comebacker to the pitcher to remain atop the standings. Spud (10 hits): Mike Watson, Jimmy & Buddy two hits (double), 1 run each. Brigette Gross, Amanda Black & Becky Simpson 1 hit, 1 run each. Marketron (14 hits): Scott Carter 3 hits (HR), 3 runs. Travis Cooley 3 hits. Davin Hanson 2 hits (3B), 1 run. Amy Desy 1 hit, 1 run.

Anderson Asphalt 12, Silver Dollar/ABC 9
Silver Dollar started out hot, scoring eight runs in the first two innings to lead 8-6. Anderson came back with a three-run third made possible by Wheat Uhrig’s homer to take a one-run lead. With the advantage, Anderson’s defense stiffened. Dollar only had two hits from the third inning on. Anderson (18 hits): Phillip Uhrig 2 HR/single. Kevin Garceau 2 hits (HR/2B), 2 runs. Elisa Quarles 2 singles, 2 runs. Lynn Drewien 2 hits, 1 run. Silver Dollar (9 hits): Josh Jacobson 2 HR, 3 runs. Bugs McNamara 2 singles, 1 run. Sharon Payne single, 2 runs. Tina Murphy single, 2 runs.

Budweiser 14, Robin Tomasi/MB/Big Horn 8
There is nothing better than playing the spoiler, and Bud must have had a lot of fun watching Tomasi try and play catch up all night. The Bud crew busted out for five runs in both the first and sixth frames to top Tomasi and knock them into second place. Budweiser (14 hits): TJ Peterson 3 hits (3B/2B), 3 runs. Ben Walker 3 hits (triple), 3 runs. Greg Edwards 3 hits (double), 2 runs. Bobbie Edwards, Anna Kolash & Kathy Kerrick 1 hit, 1 run each. Robin Tomasi (11 hits): Samantha Dredge 2 hits, 2 runs. Lisa Stout & Clay Sanders 2 hits, 1 run each. Tamara Burden 1 hit, 2 runs. Matt Douthit HR.
