School board announces new teachers hires

The Blaine County School District has announced names of new teachers hired for the 2004-2005 school year. The announcement came at the Board of Trustees meeting, Tuesday, June 8.

The 12 new teachers hired for the upcoming school year in the Blaine County School District are:

Wood River Middle School — Beth Andrews, social studies; Holly Coiner, counselor; Raul Vandenberg, English as Second Language; Dena Scott, special education, and Sue Feldhusen, special education.

Bellevue Elementary School — Maria Iliana Ruiz, bilingual elementary; Meghan Murphy, bilingual elementary, and Norma Gonzalez, English as Second Language.

Hemingway Elementary School — Deborah Van Law, bilingual elementary.

Hailey Elementary School — Brad Stansberry, fifth grade.

Wood River High School — Peter Naumes, physical education and health.

Location to be determined — Leshia Nelson, special education.

The school district will also hire special education teachers, a middle school halftime French teacher, a secondary education social studies teacher and a secondary education English teacher for the upcoming school year.
