It’s 25 years for the Adams Gulch Run
Fun run, walk returns Saturday
It’s been a long haul for a relatively
short run.
The 25th annual Adams Gulch fun run and
walk returns to Ketchum Saturday, June 5, sponsored as always by The Elephant’s
Perch.
Kicking off the summer footrace season,
Adams Gulch has become the valley’s longest-running fun run. It measures 4.2
miles of pavement and trail.
Runners and walkers start off at 10 a.m.
Saturday from the staging area along Saddle Rd. by the Church of the Big Wood.
They go through Northwood and Beaver
Springs, cut across the Big Wood River at Adams Gulch Road, then proceed up
through the gulch until it turns to trail. They climb Heidelberg Hill and return
to the church along Warm Springs Rd.
No registration is necessary for the free
event. Times will be recorded. There are no prizes.
Last year there were 47 runners led by
Ryan Still (26:54) and Johanna Olsen (29:51).
Saturday’s run will include a special Tom
Montgomery tribute courtesy of Johnny G’s Subshack.
