Fifth District hands are set for state

Jerome rodeo finalizes qualifiers

Five Carey and Wood River rodeo team hands have qualified for June’s state competition in Pocatello, following the Fifth District high school rodeo wrap-up Friday and Saturday at Jerome County Fairgrounds.

Kade Smith (99 points) of Bellevue won the Fifth District high school boys’ cutting season title by a commanding margin and will join his older sister Ashley Smith at the state meet in Pocatello later this month. Express photo by David N. Seelig
