County prosecutor, deputy apply for
magistrate judge
17 in running for vacant position

The Blaine County prosecuting attorney and
one of his deputies are among 17 attorneys and judges who have applied for the
magistrate judge position in Blaine County.
The successful applicant will succeed
Magistrate Judge Robert Elgee, who was appointed this spring to Blaine County’s
5th District bench in Hailey.
Along with Blaine County Prosecuting
Attorney Jim Thomas and Blaine County Deputy Prosecuting Attorney Tim Graves, 15
other attorneys and lawyers from Idaho and Washington applied for the position.
Six applicants are Blaine County residents, and 15 are from Idaho.
The candidates will be interviewed July 1
in Shoshone by the Fifth Judicial District Magistrates Commission.
Evaluation questionnaires will be sent to
attorneys throughout Idaho. Questionnaires for public comments can be obtained
from the trial court administrator’s office on Shoshone Street in Twin Falls.

Linda Wright, the applicants are: Jim Thomas, Bellevue; Tim Graves, Hailey;
Frederick Allington, Hailey; Daniel Dolan, Ketchum; Debra Kronenberg, Ketchum;
and Norman Leopold, Ketchum.
Also applying are: Fred Adams, Idaho
Falls; Cindy Campbell, Blackfoot; Richard Dredge, Boise; Roger Harris, Twin
Falls; Ted Israel, Pocatello; Paul Kroeger, Wendell; Casey Robinson, Shoshone;
John (Jay) Stephenson II, Fort Lewis, Wash.; Steven Tuft, Burley; Wes Wilhite,
Caldwell; and Michael Williamson, Bellevue, Wash.
