early, by Tuesday, May 25, for the Snowline Basketball Camp scheduled
for Monday through Wednesday, June 7-9 at the high school gym in Hailey.
Cost is $125 for pre-registration
(if paid by May 25) or $150 per person at the door. Coaches Jim
Boatwright and George Phillips bring a wealth of Idaho hoops experience
to the Snowline Basketball Camps, in their 22nd year for girls and boys
in grades 5-12.
Camp director Boatwright, who has
been conducting basketball camps since 1982, was a high school
All-American at Minico High School in Rupert and a collegiate
All-American at Utah State University. Former Linfield College star
Phillips is assistant camp director.
Boatwright just completed his
first year as a member of the Wood River High School boys’ coaching
staff.
He will be joined at the three-day
summer camp by the Wood River High School coaching staff of Fred Trenkle,
John Radford and Craig Eastop.
Those in grades 5-8 will be put
into Division I. High school players will be separated from younger
players in the grades 9-12 Division 2.
Times are 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. each
day. Individual and group instruction in fundamental skills will be
emphasized. Games will be played daily in a variety of team
competitions. There will be awards given for free throw champions and
jump shot champions.
