back on course
The Community School golfers
dusted off the clubs for a four-team meet at Carmela Vineyards Golf
Course Tuesday. It was the second outing of the season for the
Cutthroats and the first in four weeks.
Host Glenns Ferry won the meet
with a four-man 310 paced by medalist Kyle Brown’s 72. Kimberly was
second at 319 and Ketchum/Sun Valley finished third with a 372. Fourth
place went to Gooding at 379.
One of the highlight’s of the day
was Andy McGrew’s (Kimberly) hole-in-one on the ninth.
Reed Boeger was low man for the
Cutthroats with an 82. Christian Cairncross shot 85, Regan O’Reilly 95
and Alex Dembergh 110. In the girls’ competition, Rachael Becker carded
a 66 over nine holes.
"Reed and Christian came in pretty
disappointed to shoot 82 and 85. They are that good that when they fall
apart they shoot what everyone else would love to," coach Harry Weekes
remarked. "I was very pleased they were disappointed with themselves.
"Overall, everyone looked pretty
good," he added.
