Suns hope to
shine on the ice
Idaho Amateur tournament in
Boise
The Sun Valley Suns Midget hockey
team will play for its third consecutive tournament title at the Idaho
Amateur Hockey Association’s State Championships at Ice World in Boise
this weekend.

Back-to-back winner of the Great
Western Showcase and the Idaho High School State Championships, Sun
Valley will open up against the Boise Blades at 4:30 p.m. Friday.
Saturday’s contests are against
MYHA at 9:30 a.m. and Idaho Falls 4 p.m. The Midget championship is 9:30
a.m. Sunday morning.
The Suns have their work cut out
for them, however.
Coach Andrew Hebert remarked,
"These are basically all-star teams. They will be a lot tougher. We need
to play some fundamental hockey."
The Sun Valley Bantams have four
games in pool play, two on Friday at 1:15 and 6:15 p.m., and two on
Saturday at 11:15 a.m. and 7:15 p.m. The Bantam final is at 11:15 a.m.
Sunday.
The PeeWee Suns take the ice at 3
p.m. Friday, and 1 p.m. and 6:15 p.m. Saturday.
Tournament teams include Sun
Valley, Salmon, Idaho Falls, Northern Idaho and Moscow.
