Holiday Tree visits valley

‘From Idaho’s Heart to America’s home’

At least 300 folks showed up Monday, Nov. 10, on Main Street in Ketchum to welcome the Capitol Holiday Tree cut in Idaho and en route to Washington, D.C. The Wood River High School Choir entertained the crowds before speeches by Idaho Gov. Dirk Kempthorne, Sun Valley Mayor Dave Wilson, Ketchum Mayor Ed Simon and Sun Valley-Ketchum Chamber Board President Bob Nero. The tree arrives at the Capitol Dec. 1 after making its way east through several other communities. Express photo by Willy Cook
