Express sponsors
debates for
three city elections
Debate will warm the rooms while pizza warms the audiences when the annual
"Pizza and Politics" election forums sponsored by the Idaho Mountain Express get
under way in the Wood River Valley this month.
Sun Valley, Ketchum and Hailey all have nearly full slates of candidates this
year.
The public and media are invited to meet the candidates, ask them questions
and partake of a variety of pizzas. Each event will run less than two hours.
The events are the Wood River Valley’s only public non-partisan election
forum. They are organized and sponsored for the 21st year by the Express as a
public service.
The Express will provide the pizza and the evenings will be moderated by
Express Publisher Pam Morris.
The forums are scheduled as follows:
-
Hailey: 6 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 15, at the Old County Courthouse
Meeting Room, 206 1st Ave. South;
-
Ketchum: 6 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 16, at the Ketchum City Hall Meeting
Room, 480 East Ave. North;
-
Sun Valley: 6 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 22, at the Sun Valley City Hall
Meeting Room, on the corner of Dollar Road and Elkhorn Road.
