Swimmers tackle long course test

The SV5B and Elkhorn Dolphins swim teams traveled to Boise this past weekend for the Treasure Valley Long Course Classic meet.

Amanda Harris, 15, took first place in the 200 IM and 50 free, with second places in the 400 free, 100 back and 100 free. Ray Bryson, 15, swam for first in 200 breast, with second places in 400 free and 200 IM.

Sarah Brown, 10, took seconds in 200 free and 50 fly, along with third in the 100 Fly. Grady Goodenough, 14, took seconds in 100 and 200 breast. Harlan Collins, 10, took seconds in 50 breast and 100 free.

Other top finishes for the girls were Racheal McGinnis, 12, thirds in 400 free, 100 back and 100 free; Katie Bryson, 16, fifth in 200 breast; Anja Sundali, 15, third in 100 fly; Stormy Mataya, 12, fifth in 100 fly;

Also, Esther Williams, 11, ninth in 200 free; Kami Doan, 12, third in 100 breast; Calley Brown, 14, fifth in 100 back; McKenna Collins, 13, eighth in 200 breast; Arielle Mulenos, 13, 10th in 200 IM; Sage Howe, 8, fourth in 50 free; Sophie Carkonen, 9, ninth in 50 breast; Tate Reed, 11, 19th in 50 back; Marley Morgus, 9, 20th in 50 breast; Bronwen Raff, 12, 12th in 50 breast; and Hannah Curren, 12, 11th in 50 back.

In the boys competition, Tristan Tanner, 13, swam for fifth in 400 free; Niels McMahon, 11, was fifth in 100 free; and Adam Brown, 8, finished fifth as well in 50 free.
