Laurent Perrier women’s soccer is next

Bubbly and bragging rights this weekend


A magnum of champagne and bragging rights are up for grabs in the annual Laurent Perrier women’s soccer tournament this weekend.

The five-team midsummer tilt takes place at Atkinson Park in Ketchum, July 19-20.

Ketchum has two entries, Laurent Perrier #1 and Laurent Perrier #2. Boise sends two participants: Tom Grainey’s and ABC. Strikers Futbol Posse from Salt Lake City will also be in the mix.

Ketchum #1 plays at 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. Saturday. Ketchum #2 is on the pitch at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. A barbecue will be held at the park in conjunction with the 5:30 p.m. match between Salt Lake and Boise ABC.

Semifinal and final matches will be contested at 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. Sunday.

Making up LP #1 are captain Lia Johnson, Katherine Rixon, Becky Cron, Kelli Kerns, Kelly Feldman, Margo Ros, Jody Zarkos, Jenni Conrad, Vicki Johnston, Carolina Stevens, Casey Mills, Farrell Swain, Siobhan Sutton, Annie Stout, Amy Olson, Lynette Kerns, Molly Peppo and Kelly Haisley.

Tizz Miller captains LP #2 with Casey Hanrahan, Nicki Ellsbree, Joan Curtis, Kipp Mills, Cristina Anderson, Julie Siegel, Liv Jensen, Jen Embree, Lara Stone, Joanie Fox, Kerri Houck, Erika Connelly, Andrea Palm and Dana Good.
