A Lincoln County teenager, Adonnia Carolyn
Boyer, 18, of Richfield, was killed Friday, May 30, in a single car, rollover
accident near Highway 75 mile marker 93, about one mile north of the Blaine
County line. The accident occurred near the site where teenager Sara Alstrom, of
Bellevue, was killed in a Memorial Day weekend rollover.
Boyer was traveling northbound with
passenger Tommy Lloyd Standlee, 17, who was flown to Magic Valley Regional
Hospital in Twin Falls and later transferred to St. Alphonse Regional Medical
Center in Boise. He was released Tuesday after being treated for a broken
shoulder.
Witnesses following and approaching
Boyer’s tan 1985 Toyota Tercel wagon said the vehicle drifted off the shoulder,
which is soft in that section of the highway, said Blaine County Chief Deputy
Gene Ramsey.
"Markings on the pavement confirm that the
car went completely off the right side of the highway. The owner corrected and
rolled off the left shoulder," said Ramsey. "A driver of a southbound vehicle
saw (the vehicle drifting) and was able to slow down and avoid a collision."
A doctor was on the scene of the accident
and performed CPR with paramedics until it was determined by the coroner that
there was "no chance" to revive Boyer, said Ramsey.
Both Boyer and Standlee were found
unconscious, said Ramsey. Inattention was cited as the cause of the accident.
