High school rodeo stops at Carey arena

Fifth District contest

All-around girls’ leader Italy Jo Eames of Gooding (277 points) stretched her lead in the 2003 Fifth District high school rodeo standings when the circuit stopped in Carey for two go-rounds last weekend.

Eames dashed off with the fastest times in both go-rounds of barrel racing and breakaway roping. She was the hottest in the goat tying second go. Eames and Cliff Toone of Gooding were Carey’s all-around best.
