Jet crash claims 3 lives

Sun Valley couple, Flying J founder killed

Hazardous Waste Science Officer Tom Askew, right, and Pat O’Roark of the Idaho Department of Environmental Quality, discuss crash site conditions Sunday with Blaine County Sheriff’s Deputy Cory Wetherly, who had been shuttling officials throughout the day to the site of the fatal private jet crash northwest of Carey. The founder of Flying J Travel Centers, Osborne Jay Call, 62, of Layton, Utah, was piloting the craft when he lost his life Saturday. Also killed were Richard “Buzz” Germer, 56, recently retired vice president of Flying J, and his wife, Ilene, 56, of Sun Valley.. Express photo by Willy Cook
