Skiers, cowpokes gittalong
Ski joring finals held in Hailey
According to two-time
national ski joring champion Dana Stiles of Eagle, Colo., one of the
nice things about her sport is the interaction between two groups that
rarely cross paths—skiers with their boards and cowpokes with their
horses. Stiles, riding Merlin, teams beautifully with skier Cody Smith of
Jackson Hole, Wyo., during the national ski joring championships Saturday
west of Hailey. They won the Open class before an estimated 1,000
spectators. The event raised $600 for Wood River BMX and $600 for Rotarun. Express photo by Willy Cook
