Adam, Gordon 
on top at Bigwood

Golf club champions


Course record holder Dave Adam repeated as Bigwood Golf Course club champion and Patty Gordon won the women’s title when the 36-hole, 23rd annual Blaine County Open ended Sunday.

Adam carded 70-73 for 143 to win the Men’s First Flight by a large margin. Placing 1-2 in net were John Whisler 75-82 for 157-139 and Roger Harris 77-75 for 152-146.

Gordon captured the women’s flight with scores of 85-92 for 177-143. Placing 1-2 in net totals were Peggy Guerecaechevarria 105-101 for 206-138 and Torene Bonner 107-92 for 199-149.

·  Men’s Second Flight: First gross—Vince Falco 82-81 for 163-135. Second gross—Greg Mitchell 85-92 for 177-147. First net—Chris Benson 90-86 for 176-146 and Curt Harris 82-88 for 170-146.

·  Men’s Third Flight: First gross—John Braafladt 88-89 for 177-133. First net—Gary Moore 89-94 for 183-143. Second net—Jim Latva 92-87 for 179-145.

In all, 34 players took part in the weekend meet. Closest-to-the-pin winners were Keith Perry (both days), Patty Gordon and Jackie Damerel.
