Hailey Ski Team 
honors its best

At awards fete


The Hailey Ski Team ended a very successful 2001-02 season April 14 by holding its end-of-season banquet at River Run Lodge. Among those honored:

·  Skier of the Year: Dewey Moss (JO).

·  Most Inspirational: Luke Chaney and Tess Dahlgren (JO); Casey Bennett and Cody Curran (A); Max Monahan and Hanna Rudolph (B); Ian Murphy and Amanda Stelling (intro).

·  Most Improved: John Anderson and Alisa Durkheimer (JO); Mac Beckwith and Jessie Curran (A); Mark Beck and Elsa Sweek (B); Reed Matthews, Davis Matthews, Quinn Matthews, Melissa Becker and Ally Levy (intro).

·  Leif Odmark Sportsmanship: Conner Bennett and Gracie Brown (B). Wood River Valley Cup: Miles Sweek and Alexi Fitch (B). Coaches Award: Gene Fairbrother and Austin Nalen (intro).

HST coaches were honored for their work, and also the volunteer board of president Matt Luck, Ken Bennett, Baird Gourlay, Dick Dahlgren, Cherry Thornton, Holley duPont, Peter Curran, Wally Rothgeb and Gary Storey.

Volunteers who put in a lot of time on various HST projects included Becca Pierce, Beth Beck, Brent Gillette, Holley duPont, Kelly Eck, Cherry Thornton, Nancie Krankkala, Anne Brown, Tina Cole and travel planner Susie Rutkowski.
