Sun Valley announces closing dates

Sun Valley announced Monday the 2001-2002 closing dates that are likely to occur in April for its Bald and Dollar mountain ski areas.

"In an effort to keep the public informed about our plans, I would like to issue the following closure dates for Bald and Dollar Mountains," said Sun Valley General Manager Wally Huffman. "Everyone must realize that all of these dates are subject to change, pending weather and snow conditions."

· Dollar:

The last day for lift operations on Dollar Mountain will be April 7.

· Baldy:

Beginning Monday, April 8 and continuing through Sunday, April 14, Baldy will go to a seven-lift operation that will include Lower River Run, Lookout Express, Challenger, Greyhawk, Christmas, Seattle Ridge and Mayday. This will allow access to almost all of Baldy’s terrain except for the Lower Bowls and the Lower Frenchman's areas.

Additionally, between April 15 and April 21, Baldy will go to a four-lift operation that will include Lower River Run, Lookout Express, Challenger and Christmas.
