St. Luke’s
Wood River Medical Center officials announced Wednesday that Bruce Jensen
has been named as an interim CEO at the hospital. He will be responsible
for all on-going operations until a permanent CEO is found. Jensen, who
succeeds Jon Moses, will assume duties at the hospital Monday.
Jensen
comes from Ontario, Ore., where he was the president and CEO of Holy
Rosary Medical Center. Prior to that post he was the CEO at Grinnel
General Hospital in Iowa. He holds a masters degree in Hospital
Administration from Washington State University School of Medicine. Jensen
worked closely with St. Luke’s on a number of programs while he was in
Ontario, Ed Dahlberg, president and CEO of St. Luke’s Regional Medical
Center, said in a press release. "We find him to be very committed to
excellence in the areas of patient care and organizational
performance."
