Blood donors ‘R’ Us
‘Because it’s the right thing to do’
When the American Red Cross and the Blaine Manor Auxiliary announced a blood drive at the Hailey
Armory, 120 people called to get an appointment to give up a pint each. One donor, Charlie Hall, was awarded his “one gallon” donor pin for giving up his eighth pint even though he said he’s afraid of needles. Another donor gave the reason why people become donors. “Because it’s the right thing to do,” she said.
