‘Let it begin with me’
Students send hopes with prayer flags
Roudabush, 7, holds a selection of The Community School’s prayer flags. A total of 103 children made individual flags for one long strand to be hung at the school’s Sun Valley campus. Prayer flags are traditionally inscribed with auspicious symbols, appeals, prayers and mantras. Tibetan Buddhists for centuries have planted these flags
outside their homes and places of spiritual practice for the wind to carry the beneficent vibrations across the countryside.
