August 25, 2001, the annual 6-mile run and 5-mile walk from Ketchum to the top of Baldy sponsored by The Elephant's Perch. There were 66 runners (45 male and 21 female), plus 35 walkers (12 men and 23 women). Finishing times for runners are listed in hours, minutes and seconds, with class listed after name.

5-MILE WALKERS


Josh Glick, 29, of Ketchum and Sondi Hower were the leading male and female walkers out of 67 who registered.

Ages of the walkers ranged from 11 to 75. The oldest and one of the most determined was 75-year-old Jane Putnam of Boca Raton, Fla., proud of her recovery from open heart surgery less than two years ago. Other registered walkers were:
