School levy passes
Blaine County voters narrowly approved a historic $38 million school
facilities levy yesterday.
The measurewhich received almost a 59 percent "yes"
voterequired 55 percent voter approval.
Here are the results as reported by the Blaine County School District:

For: 58.7 percent

Against: 41.3 percent
A record 3,569 voters turned out for the election, according to district
clerk Cathy Zacardi.
District superintendent Jim Lewis thanked the community. "Im
doing great!" he said at approximately 11:25 p.m., when the victory was finally
nailed down. "[The levy] is going to do some phenomenal things for kids in the
community. Were just really, really pleased."
