Moment of truth

Workers for a Greenleaf, Idaho-based contractor, North American
Construction, set up equipment on Tuesday morning to begin performing a crucial part of
the new St. Lukes hospital construction.
Using a combination of traditional augers and a state-of-the-art pneumatic
rammer, the crew began installing the final sections of sewer and water lines under the
recreation districts bike path at the end of February.
Now the crew has a limited amount of time do the same underneath the
river, a task some have said will be considerably more difficult.
"Our concern is that the river gets up to flood stage, and then
boring
becomes an unmanageable task," North American Construction owner Jack
Seburn said recently during an interview.
The crew is working just north of the hospital construction site next to
Highway 75.
Seburn said he hopes to have the job done by April 1.
