Friday, Dec. 31

Sun Valley Suns the Suns debut their 25th home season with the first of a two-game Millennium weekend series against the Jackson Hole Moose, at Sun Valley Skating Center. Tonight’s game time is 6 p.m. because it’s New Year’s Eve. Admission $5.

Studio 5B Open House from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. The "Millennium Angel" will dust everyone with Urban Decay’s FX powder. Studio 5B is across from Moss Garden Center in Ketchum.

Millennium Masses at 5:30 p.m. at St. Charles Catholic Church in Hailey, and 7:30 p.m. at Our Lady of the Snows Catholic Church in Sun Valley.

Sun Valley’s New Year’s Eve Fireworks one of Idaho’s largest display of Millennium fireworks, a 23-minute show, is due to begin at 8 p.m. Spectators are encouraged to park in the Sun Valley Horseman’s Center. A two-minute follow-up display of fireworks at 12 midnight.

New Year’s Day 2000 is here!

Holiday Relays cross-country ski races presented by the Sun Valley Junior Nordic ski team at the Lake Creek trail system north of Ketchum. Registration 9-10:30 a.m., racing 11 a.m. Course distances are 3x1k, 3x3k and 3x5k. Entry fee $15 per team.
