Following quintuple bypass surgery on Aug. 12 at St. Lukes
Regional Medical Center in Boise, Ketchum Mayor Guy Coles is home and in good spirits.
Coles, who is 75 years young, returned to his Third Street home on
Sunday night, and was with his son Kelly, daughter-in-law Jill and two granddaughters,
Cassidy and Makenzie on Monday afternoon.
"Im shooting to be able to ride in the Wagon Days parade,
but [my doctor told me] Im not allowed to wave," he said with a smirk.
In the eight years Coles has served the city of Ketchum both as mayor
and city councilman, hes missed only three meetings. Now, in the past two weeks,
hes missed two.
"It feels wonderful to be home," he said.
If he has recovered enough, he will try to attend the city
councils next meeting on Sept. 7, he said.
