Injured man found on sidewalk

A 35-year-old Ketchum man was listed in serious condition at Oregon Health Sciences University Hospital in Portland, Ore. with injuries he received from an unknown cause during the weekend night of June 11-12.

According to Ketchum police Lt. Mike McNeil, Michael L. Anderson was found by a passerby about 7 a.m. of June 12 lying on the sidewalk by the U.S. Bank on the corner of Sun Valley Road and Washington Street. McNeil said Anderson had head wounds, broken ribs and abrasions.

He was life-flighted to the intensive-care unit at Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise, from where he was transported to the Portland hospital on June 15 after he was considered stabilized.

McNeil said police are unsure about what happened to Anderson.

"We don’t know whether he was hit by a car or was assaulted," McNeil said,

He said Anderson was last seen at Whiskey Jacques’ bar at 2 a.m.

Anderson is described as a 35-year-old white male, of medium height and build with brown hair. Ketchum police are asking that anyone with any knowledge of the incident contact them.
