Bellevue man dies in motorcycle accident

A Bellevue man died early Monday following a motorcycle accident Friday night on Gannett Road.

Blaine County Sheriff Walt Femling said Gregory Allen Moore, 43, of Bellevue, was traveling south on Gannett Road when his motorcycle drifted off the right shoulder of the roadway and into a barrow pit.

According to Femling, the motorcycle overturned and cartwheeled 400 feet. The man was found 320 feet from where his motorcycle left the road.

Moore was taken by ambulance to the Wood River Medical Center in Hailey and then transported by Life Flight to St. Alphonsus hospital in Boise where he died from head and neck injuries.

Femling said it was believed Moore was traveling over the posted speed limit of 45 mph when he failed to make the turn. According to Femling, alcohol was involved in the accident.
