Two vie for school board seats

The Blaine County School District on Tuesday will hold its annual trustee election for Trustee Zone 5. Elections will be held from noon until 8 p.m. at Hemingway Elementary School in Ketchum.

The boundary of Zone 5 is the center line of Indian Creek Road proceeding north to the Custer County line and includes all areas on the east side of State Highway 75.

Mike Poehling, current chairman of the board, will resign once his three-year term is up in July. Then, nominations for a new chairman and vice chairman will be announced and the new school board representative will be sworn in.
