Hop up to Bald Mountain this week and you might just have a run-in with the Easter Bunny or find a colored egg on a chairlift.

It’s Easter week and Sun Valley Company is hosting the first of what it hopes will be an annual week-long celebration.

Each day through Sunday, from 3 to 5 p.m., the Easter Bunny will hop out at the River Run base area while the band Rebecca Scott Decision plays music. The furry little critter will hand out candy and spread Easter joy. Also, each day from 3 to 5 p.m., the band Two Scoops will play at Warm Springs.

A mountain-wide Easter egg hunt gets under way today. Those who find, or receive, an egg will win one of 150 prizes that are being given away through Sunday. Eggs will have numbers in them and those numbers correspond to a prize.

Prizes were donated from Sun Valley and various community businesses. They include lunches, dinners, gift certificates, ski tunes, glider rides and even a season pass. The season pass will be given away on Easter Sunday.

For children, the Sun Valley/Ketchum Chamber of Commerce, the Wood River Jaycees and Sun Valley Company host an egg hunt on Saturday at Dollar Mountain. Participants in the egg hunt will be permitted to ski for the rest of the day for free. It kicks off at 2 p.m.
