Danny Thompson Memorial Golf Tournament first round of the two-day, 36-hole tournament at 8:30 a.m. on the Sun Valley and Elkhorn golf courses. Auction dinner 6:30 p.m. at River Run Lodge. Over 270 golfers are expected for the 22nd annual tournament, which has a fund-raising goal of close to $400,000 for leukemia research. Spectators are welcome to welcome the golfers. Sun Valley Summer Skating Championships hosted by the Sun Valley Figure Skating Club today through Sunday at the Sun Valley rink. Compulsory moves, dance, free skating and short programs.
